Originally from the homelands of the Ojibwe\, Odawa\, and Potawatomi nations (the Chicago area)\, she spent many years making home in Lisjan Ohlone territory (Berkeley/Oakland\, CA) where she served the community by facilitating Jewish outdoor education programs and guiding earth-based rites of passage for youth K-12 and adults of all ages. She is a graduate of Tufts University\, the Urban Adamah Fellowship\, and the JOFEE Fellowship\, and is currently pursuing Rabbinic ordination at Hebrew College. Becca is a devoted student of the waters\, learning transformation\, renewal\, and interconnectedness. In this role\, he actively navigates and advocates for patients across the cancer care continuum — from screening to diagnosis\, treatment\, and survivorship — within an LGBTQ+-proficient framework. He coordinates research and quality improvement projects and contributes to institutional efforts to advance equity and inclusion. Alex chairs the center’s LGBTQ+ Staff and Faculty Task Force and serves on multiple advisory councils across the NYU Langone Health system. His work spans patient advocacy\, staff education\, community engagement (outreach and education)\, and health equity research\, with a focus on social drivers of health in LGBTQ+ communities\, including LGBTQ+ immigrants. He has presented at national and international conferences on LGBTQ+ cancer navigation and health disparities and contributes to several peer-reviewed publications and interdisciplinary studies. Alex holds a Master of Biomedical Sciences from Rutgers University and is dedicated to advancing LGBTQ+ health through research\, education\, and clinical care.\n\nGabriel Glissmeyer\, MPH (He/Him) is a long-time LGBTQ+ health professional with a background in tobacco prevention\, oncology\, and HIV. As a transgender adoptee\, Gabriel has had to navigate a family history of cancer while being confronted with a healthcare system not built for transgender people or adoptees. Fueled by his own adverse experiences with healthcare and public health systems\, he has used this as a springboard to create national programming\, educate healthcare providers and public health workers\, and bring awareness to equity issues.\n\nSandra Chefitz (She/Her) is a VP at Munich Re North America Life. She and her wife\, Marian\, split their time between Brooklyn and Upstate NY.

DESCRIPTION:Calling all healthcare providers! \nSharsheret’s Finding A New Normal: Helping Your Patients Manage Survivorship is a one hour interactive training that addresses the complicated transition from active treatment to ‘survivorship\,’ including the physical\, psychosocial\, and spiritual needs of patients. Participants will explore national survivorship guidelines\, simple ways to enhance survivorship support\, and the impact that support has on physical healing. She is currently the Vice Chair of the Palliative Care Committee for One Oncology. In addition to being a board-certified clinician and an administrator with over 25 years of experience in the field\, Tina is an author\, educator\, mentor\, presenter\, and board member of the NJ Palliative Care APN Consortium since its inception in 2009. She is passionate about sharing information and coordinating good care. Her mission is to ensure patients\, loved ones\, physicians\, nurses\, and health care administrators become familiar with the impactful benefits of incorporating palliative care early in the care of anyone living with a serious or life-limiting illness.

Visit sharsheret.org/israel \nFor questions contact Pnina Mor\, PhD\, CNM. \n  \nDr. Rachel Michaelson is a senior physician at Shaare Zedek Medical Center in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Institute of Medical Genetics. Dr. Michaelson is the clinical director of the prenatal genetic unit and has recently been appointed as medical director of the BRCA carrier clinic. Her main research focus is BRCA population screening\, and measures of cancer risk-reduction in BRCA carriers. She is a senior lecturer in her field at the Hebrew University School of Medicine\, leads several teaching programs\, and supervises multiple MD and MPH students. Dr. Michaelson has received several grants for her research projects and award for her teaching initiatives in Hebrew University. \n  \nDr. Tal Sella is a medical oncologist specializing in the treatment of breast cancer. He graduated with honors from Tel Aviv University School of Medicine and completed his residency in medical oncology at Sheba Medical Center. He subsequently completed a clinical and research fellowship in breast cancer at Dana-Farber\, a cancer center affiliated with Harvard Medical School\, Boston\, USA. In this framework\, Dr. Sella focused on the treatment of breast cancer in young women. His research focuses on the unique characteristics of breast cancer in young women\, including biological and therapeutic aspects\, as well as their short- and long-term effects on the quality of life and general health of patients. He has extensive experience in work that combines patient-reported outcomes and digital solutions to support medical care. Dr. Sella has published articles in the field in leading scientific journals\, his work has been presented at major oncology conferences and quoted in the media. Dr. Sella is a member of Sharsheret’s Medical Advisory Committee. \n  \nDr. Naama Srebnik-Moshe is a specialist in obstetrics\, gynecology and fertility. She is a senior physician at Shaare Zedek Medical Center in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) Unit. She is Director of the Reproductive Endocrinology Service at the Shaare Zedek Medical Center. Her public positions include: Member of the Sharsheret Israel Medical Advisory Committee\, member of the committee of the Israeli Society for of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology\, and member of the gynecology specialty exam writing committee. On behalf of the Israel Menopause Society Dr. Srebnik is responsible for the general public website. She is a member of the Israel Association of Obstetrics and Gynecology\, the Israeli Society for Menopause\, the Israeli Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology\, the Israeli Fertility Association and ESHRE- the European Society of human Reproduction and Embryology. She is a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine at the Hebrew University. She is coordinator of the BRCA Medicine course at the advanced Medical Studies at the Tel Aviv University. Her research is in the field of fertility and clinical research on topics related to BRCA mutation carriers. Dr. Srebnik is the recipient of numerous awards including\, Excellence in Teaching from the Hebrew University School of Medicine\, Yareah scholarship for research collaboration with the Hebrew University and the Prof. Ronit Kuchman Research Doctor award in the field of fertility.
